Munich Business School (MBS) has once again achieved top results in the WirtschaftsWoche University Ranking. The current 2016 edition of the ranking, published this week by the German business magazine, rates MBS in the top ten of all universities of applied sciences for business administration in all of Germany. This makes MBS the only private university in to finish in the top ten in each of the last eight editions of the prestigious ranking.
On behalf of WirtschaftsWoche, research and consultancy firm Universum has surveyed 540 human resources managers from different industries in Germany. They were asked to rate the best universities from a list of academic institutions whose graduates, in their view, fulfilled the corporations’ requirements the most – providing a representative indicator of the graduates’ employability.
Continuous Academic Quality
With its seventh overall place, Munich Business School has achieved a top ten position for the eighth time in a row – a feat none of its private competitors has been able to accomplish. And also a strong indicator that MBS provides continuous academic quality and a high grade of employability to its students and graduates.
Amongst all private institutions, MBS has been able to hold a top position for several years now, ranking second this year. Looking at South Germany exclusively, MBS is the by far best-rated private university (IUBH is ranked 18th, ISM 20th, FOM 52nd – others not ranked among the top 50 in Germany).

Practical Relevance, International Experience and Language Skills
The surveyed human resources executives placed high priority on the practical relevance of the academic education in their ranking, but aspects such as the international experience and language skills of the graduates played an important role, as well. In both the latter areas, graduates of private universities were seen to be superior in comparison to their likes of public universities.
