The current university ranking U-Multirank, published on September 21, 2021, awards Munich Business School (MBS) as in previous years top marks in an international comparison of universities. In the categories Teaching & Learning and International Orientation as well as in the subcategories Professional Publications and Graduate Companies, MBS is among the top group in each case. For the sixth time in a row, the university is also among the “Global Top 25 Performers” in terms of student mobility.

U-Multirank 2021 honors Munich Business School as “Global Top 25 Performer” in terms of student mobility for the sixth time in a row

Internationality is firmly anchored in the DNA of Munich Business School: since its founding 30 years ago, the private business school has set itself the goal of supporting individuals from all over the world in their lifelong pursuit of knowledge and personal development and offering them an inspiring environment to do so. It is therefore all the more gratifying that this approach is repeatedly supported by ranking results. This year, for example, the U-Multirank university ranking once again confirms Munich Business School’s highly international orientation. In the subcategories of foreign-language bachelor’s and master’s programs, student mobility, and international academic staff, the university ranks among the top groups, as it did last year.

With regard to the category Student Mobility, MBS has been ranked as one of the “Global Top 25 Performers” for the sixth time in a row. The reason for this is the intensively managed exchange relationships with the international partner university network, e.g. in the context of semesters abroad and dual-degree programs.

Further top marks in the areas of Teaching & Learning, Research and Knowledge Transfer

In addition to its internationality, Munich Business School also impresses in other ranking categories. In the area of Teaching & Learning, in which, for example, the graduation rates or the duration until graduation are recorded, the university receives exclusively good to very good grades. In the Gender Balance criterion, which was introduced this year, it even came out on top – a distinction for Munich Business School, which has long been committed not only to cultural diversity but also to gender balance among its students.

Munich Business School also scored for the first time in the Research category. In the Professional Publications subcategory, the university secured a top position, demonstrating its expertise in practice-oriented publications aimed at a professional audience.

The university can also be pleased about a top result in the category Knowledge Transfer for the first time: With a score of 49.18 in the area of Graduate Companies, Munich Business School belongs to the top group in terms of alumni startups. The result shows that innovative and entrepreneurial thinking is not only an integral part of the entire program offering at MBS (e.g. Master Innovation and Entrepreneurship), but also endures beyond the studies at MBS.

Prof. Dr. Stefan Baldi, Dean of Munich Business School, is satisfied with the results of this year’s U-Multirank edition: “I am very pleased about the positive performance of our university in the U-Multirank 2021. On the one hand, the results once again confirm us as one of the most international universities worldwide – a USP for which MBS is now known. On the other hand, they also show that MBS is constantly developing as a university and attaches great importance to future topics such as diversity and innovation. I am proud that our efforts in these areas over the past years are reflected in the ranking.”
