Sophie Hieke Leads the Conversation on Sustainable Dining at the Climate Smart Chefs Conference

Early December, the Climate Smart Chefs Final Conference brought together experts from across Europe to explore how food can drive sustainability. Munich Business School core faculty member Hieke, Sophie, who is also a member of the Advisory Board for the EU-funded LIFE Climate Smart Chefs project, moderated the event in Milan.

The Network of Life Climate Smart Chefs unites chef associations, restaurants, hotels, and caterers in the fight against food waste, reducing carbon emissions and water consumption, and creating gastronomic experiences that go beyond exceptional taste to embrace ecological, economic, and social sustainability.
The conference also featured discussions with Michelin-starred chef Chiara Pavan, insights from EU policymakers, and the Climate Smart Chefs Awards, celebrating leaders in sustainable gastronomy.
Congratulations to all participants and award winners for inspiring change in the way we think about food and the planet.
