MBS lecturer Mark Zeh will be giving a talk at the 13th User Experience Monday in Munich on February 1st, 2016, about the need for future interface designs to connect better with people. Present user interface design emphasizes visual information and uses a very-limited set of inputs from the hands. However human cognition and memory mechanisms are powerfully enhanced by inclusion of haptic information. In his talk, Mark Zeh will give some background on these cognitive mechanisms and speak briefly about how designers and engineers could work toward providing “stickier” digital interactions.
