The CHE University Ranking published this week attests Munich Business School (MBS) a very good personal support of its students as well as a high degree of internationality and practical orientation of its study programs. In all three categories, the private business school made it into the top groups and was thus able to further expand its positive results from the past years.
After the very good results of MBS in the WiWo University Ranking 2020, the university is now also convincing in the ranking of the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE). In all three fact-based categories “Support at the Beginning of Studies”, “International Orientation” and “Job Market and Career Orientation”, Munich Business School achieved top rankings this year.
In the section “Support at the Beginning of Studies”, which includes various support measures for students in the introductory phase, the university achieves an excellent result with twelve out of fourteen possible points. With this rating, MBS ranks among the top universities, because no other private university in Germany achieves a better result.
Regarding the degree of international orientation of the study programs, the Bachelor International Business, the MBA General Management Full- and Part-time as well as almost all Master programs are represented in the top class with at least eight out of twelve possible points. Munich Business School scores particularly well on the criteria of student mobility, foreign languages and stays abroad.
As already confirmed in the WiWo university ranking, the programs of Munich Business School are particularly convincing due to their high practical relevance. In the category “Job Market and Career Orientation”, all MBS programs evaluated in the CHE University Ranking score at least nine out of twelve possible points and can more than satisfy especially with regard to practice-oriented courses and contact with external practitioners. In terms of practical orientation, the Bachelor International Business performs particularly well with 11 points achieved.
The excellent performance of Munich Business School in the CHE University Ranking 2020/21 appears all the more remarkable when comparing the performance of all private universities of applied sciences in the field of business studies: Of almost 30 private universities of applied sciences ranked in the three categories mentioned above, apart from Munich Business School, no other private university of applied sciences in Germany achieves consistently top rankings for both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs.
The university is pleased with the good results in the CHE University Ranking 2020/21: ” Globally-mindedness, practical experience and personal support are exactly the values that we have been representing and communicating since our foundation. We are delighted to see this confirmed in important rankings of the German university landscape for all our study programs – from Bachelor’s to Master’s and MBA,” says Prof. Dr. Stefan Baldi, Dean of Munich Business School.

About the CHE University Ranking
The CHE University Ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed university ranking in Germany. It covers 40 subjects and is created using a sophisticated methodology: In addition to facts about studies, teaching, equipment and research, the ranking includes assessments by students about the study conditions at their university and, for some subjects, the reputation of the departments among professors.
In the current CHE University Ranking 2020/21, information on studies, teaching and research at more than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences was examined and around 120.000 students were surveyed. The results were published on May 5, 2020 in the ZEIT Studienführer and ZEIT CAMPUS ONLINE. The complete ranking can be viewed here.
