Munich Business School’s Professor Dr. Albrecht, Arnd has contributed a chapter to the Springer book The Future of Work. Titled Shared Leadership, the chapter explores a forward-thinking leadership model that prioritizes collective responsibility, professional collaboration, and team diversification.
Drawing inspiration from the Scandinavian Primus inter Pares (first among equals) principle, Shared Leadership shifts responsibility from a single leader to the entire team, fostering flexibility, improved project outcomes, and stronger internal alignment. Professor Albrecht also reflects on the challenges of applying this model in more hierarchical organizational cultures.
This chapter is a valuable addition to the ongoing dialogue about leadership in a rapidly changing world. It’s good to see MBS faculty contributing to these critical conversations and advancing innovative ideas in business leadership.
