Johannes Curtius studied political science, psychology and philosophy at the Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg, in Santiago de Chile and Pennsylvania/USA. After working in the cultural sector in Berlin and at UNESCO in Quito/Ecuador, he joined the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) in Frankfurt am Main. There he works in international cooperation. His range of responsibilities includes strategic issues in international sports policy and strengthening German representation in the top bodies of international sports federations, to sports projects in developing countries with the German Foreign Office. As a member of Team Germany, he worked at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016 and PyeongChang 2018.
