Dr. Thomas Röhm is Professor of International Business and General Management at Munich Business School. Before joining MBS in October 2019, he was Professor of General Business Administration at IUBH International University - Dual Studies. In addition, he was significantly involved in designing and developing of new study programs and was Academic Director of the program Master Controlling at IUBH International University - Distance Learning.
Prof. Dr. Thomas Röhm holds a Master in Economics from University of Hohenheim and a Lic. oec. int. in International Economics from University of Konstanz. After his studies he worked as a research assistant at ifo Institute for Economic Research and received his PhD in Economics from the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg.
Parallel to his academic career, Thomas Röhm held various management positions, including Head of Economics and Transportation, Scientific Research Coordinator at Bauhaus Luftfahrt e.V. and Team Manager and Knowledge Expert at The Boston Consulting Group GmbH in Munich. He has also served on the advisory board of a medium-sized family business for more than 10 years.
His research interests include strategic management, international management and controlling.
