Basic studies (1st-3rd semester)
In the first few semesters, students learn the fundamentals of business administration, including accounting, marketing, finance and human resources. The focus here is on providing a sound understanding of business administration.
Advanced studies (4th-6th semester)
The course content is expanded to include topics specific to medium-sized companies, such as SME financing, company succession, innovation management and process optimization. Practical projects, case studies and often a mandatory internship deepen knowledge and ensure practical relevance.
Final paper (Bachelor's thesis)
The program often concludes with a practical semester in which students get to know a company more intensively and work on real projects. The Bachelor's or Master's thesis is often written in cooperation with a company.
Degree
Depending on the course of study and university, the program concludes with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.). For further specialization, a Master's program (M.A. or M.Sc.) in Management of Medium-sized Companies or a related field can be completed. The degree qualifies graduates for management positions in SMEs and prepares them for the specific challenges of medium-sized companies.
