Subject-specific university entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife)
The Fachhochschulreife qualifies you to study at universities of applied sciences. It can be acquired at vocational grammar schools, technical colleges or through certain vocational training courses. In some federal states, it also gives you access to selected courses at universities.
- Acquisition: At Fachoberschulen, through certain vocational training courses or at vocational grammar schools.
- Entitlement: Studies at universities of applied sciences; in some federal states also access to certain courses at universities.
- Special feature: Combines general education content with vocational qualifications; often includes a practical year or internships that offer direct insights into the world of work.
